Step Away from the Keyboard
Writing is more often than not a solitary art. Most of my writing is done in seclusion, despite my love to talk (in various formats) with my family and friends... okay even complete strangers. When I get on a roll and the writing is really happening, I have to remind myself to step away from the keyboard. It's a difficult thing. My brain rails against what it sees as anti-productivity. Especially when I'm in that groove where everything is just flowing.
Time away from the writing is a good thing. I told myself that as I didn't write on Wednesday. I reminded myself more on Thursday as I got in the car with my friend and took off on a spontaneous trip to Texas. And you know what? I wasn't wrong.
I woke up this morning on my own, no alarm, feeling SHARP. The hint of mundane and purpose driven prose is gone. Hello muses and good morning!

This blog is a business card, a portfolio, if you will, highlighting the work I love. Thank you for reading, Mrs. Z
