Greetings... whovever you are.

So here we are. New blog. Shiny. I write stuff all the time, this should be great. Yeah? Yeah?



Okay. So we have a lot of blank space. And staring at it does not make it go away. This isn't like commentary for a living or creative writing exercise stuff. This is for fun, for me. And I have no idea what to write.

Well, that's not true. I have a lot of ideas. Too many, really. So let's narrow this down.

Hopefully, someday there will be people reading this thing. I mean, other than the friends I spam with blog links begging for their praise over what I've written. (It sounds way more pathetic than it is... besides, I do it for them.) So who would be my target audience? Well, ideally, some guy with a writing gig would stumble across wordizm and decide that I have exactly the writing style he's looking for. (Sir, if you're reading this, might I point out my work at emPower Music&Arts? It's much better put together and a better example of how very professional I can be.)

There's another thought too. What if my kids read this. Or my mom. (Hi mom.) So I don't want to put anything in it that might come back to bite me.

I do know one thing I'll be doing here and that's this word of the day challenge I've set for myself. Free Dictionary has this word of the day widget on igoogle and I'm writing a 100 word essay (known in the writing communities as a drabble) each day of the week. Maybe weekends too if I have time and the word is good. Yesterday's word nearly killed me though. Festal. *cue retching noises* Today is much better. You'll see a post about that next.
